Founder’s Story

Stork Impact Partners was founded by Nick Stork. Through Stork Impact Partners, Nick extends his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to impactful, scalable solutions to the realm of philanthropy, supporting organizations and communities that share his dedication to a more sustainable and healthy planet.

Nick is the Founder and CEO of Conifer Infrastructure Partners, a firm dedicated to building companies across the renewable energy and critical materials sectors.

Prior to Conifer, Nick founded Archaea Energy in 2017 and led it from concept to become the largest renewable natural gas (RNG) producer in the world, publicly listed on the NYSE, before its acquisition by BP for $4.1 billion in 2022. Under his leadership, Archaea developed a standardized approach to RNG development, operating 50 plants and having 30 projects under construction.

Before Archaea, Nick co-founded and served as Chief Financial Officer of Noble Environmental, Inc., a leading waste and environmental services company where he remains Chairman of the Board.

A proud graduate of Dartmouth College, Nick is a lifelong learner with a particular passion for the engineering disciplines central to his investments and operating companies. Nick grew up in a small, rural town in Massachusetts where his appreciation for nature took root.
